Taco Tuesdays in Temecula

There are so many great places to eat here in Temecula. You can get most any cuisine in any style be it sit down, buffet, or carry out. And there is one thing that is universally appreciated here in Southern California, Taco Tuesday! When you can get delicious tacos for a great price. Here are a few places in the Temecula area you should check out when the need for Taco Tuesday hits you.

Rosa's Cantina- Family owned and operated in Old Town Temecula since 1991. Some people call it, "the place where locals eat" due to their authentic Mexican cuisine. They have also catered many of our office functions.

Rosa's Cafe and Tortilla Factory- I went there for Taco Tuesday today. It is very affordable and gives you a lot of food for the money. You will get 3 tacos of your choice served with rice, refried beans, and three fresh made tortillas for under $4.00. When they named it the tortilla factory, they weren't kidding. They produce approximately 9800 fresh tortillas every day. You can purchase a dozen tortillas for $2.69.

When I told my husband I had tacos for Taco Tuesday, he immediately thought Rubios and fish tacos. Not being from California originally, I did not know that Rubios was the home of the original fish taco. But you can get all the greatness of Alaskan wild Pollock beer battered and served on a corn or flour tortilla with their original white sauce, mild salsa and cabbage for $1.50 each.

Carnitas Express- They have been serving home made scratch recipes for 16 years. There are 3 locations. One in Menifee and two in Murrieta.  The tacos are excellent! Just don't fill up on the spicy salsa and warm chips before your tacos come. My favorite is the shredded beef with the crunchy taco shell.

Tuesdays are definitely worth looking forward to.
